SS Game Services specializes in the capture and transport of game animals in the lowveld area. Game capturing season is from March to October. Game capturing and transport requires planning and is strictly regulated by permits.Â

GAME CAPTURING AND TRANSPORT SERVICES
DARTING
Darting is mainly used when only a few, usually exotic animals need to be captured. This is an expensive method. It involves the use of a veterinarian and specialized drugs and equipment.
PASSIVE CAPTURE
Passive capture of game involves capturing larger numbers of animals than darting. It involves erecting a boma and placing animal feed inside. The boma is monitored by cameras and the gates are closed electronically to capture the animals. Passive capture is usually conducted late in the season when food in the veldt is scarce. Animals are loaded directly for transport after they have been captured. This is the most humane method of game capture. It is slow, economical and high-tech and the preferred method for the management of game in eco estates.

TRANSPORT
Animals are sedated and transported directly after capture, preferably early in the morning. Trailers are specially designed to accommodate different types of animals. All movement of animals requires a permit.
